Michael Bell (artist)
Michael Bell (born April 10, 1971), is an American Portrait painter, muralist and screenwriter. Bell is also a domestic violence and anti-bullying activist. Bell is the founder and sponsor of ArtQuest, Southern High's annual nationally acclaimed student art exhibition.''〔Carr, K., "ArtQuest is Set for April 25" ''Edgewater Patch'', March 20, 2013.〕 Bell is Southern High's first Teacher of the Year (2000); the Maryland Art Education Association Most Outstanding Teacher of the Year (2002) and was awarded the Anne Arundel County Public Schools Teacher of the Year (2004), becoming one of 24 Maryland State Teachers of the Year in 2005.
